Sand, Sunset & Vows

Jessica & Pete ~ October 19, 2013

Newport Beach, CA ~ Balboa Pier

Nothing says romance like the beach! Warm air, sand between your toes, waves crashing in the background, life going on around you, not a care in the world. What is better than that? Let me tell you....it's watching your own daughter marry the man that she loves. I was the proud mother-of-the-bride, wedding planner & florist for this amazing day. A day I will never forget.

Everything about this wedding was planned around the colors and mood of the beach. Glassware of mason jars were blues, greens and clear glass and flowers were of corrals and peaches. Sand and shells adorned the tables and each centerpiece. Toasting bottles of sparkling apple cider and strawberry lemonade was sipped through the striped straws in each glass.

An intimate ceremony consisted of a best man and a maid-of-honor surrounded by 40 family members and closest friends. The reception was a home-cooked meal made with love and the cake was a family recipe made by the bride's aunt. It was a family affair and a magical day.

One with Nature

Suzie & Troy ~ October 29, 2011

Olympia, WA @ The Water Street Cafe

Nature and their love for God's little creatures was the inspiration for their magical day. Rod iron black birds, moss covered frogs and squirrels, bird nests, stones, moss, succulents, daisies and branches were all incorporated so that we could be one with nature. Magical lights and candles lit up the branches through the ceremony and reception.
No cake for these "love birds". Instead, it was pie a'la mode. Each pie's crust had little bird feet prints across the top or maple leaves made from the crust.

A pair of "Love Birds" nestled on the Bride & Groom's table
As a special Thank You, each guest took home a pound of coffee beans from the local coffee roasting house Batdorf & Bronson - special treat indeed!
Handmade labels for the Bride & Groom held by medal acorn holders.
The perfect place for cards - nestled in a bird cage.
The dessert table - anyone for apple, blackberry, strawberry rhubard or mixed berry pie? The fancy one here is lemon meringue! The dessert table was decorated with 2 black birds and a hand painted sign that read "Four & Twenty black birds baked in a pie".

"Fall"ing for you!

Amber & Paul ~ October 2010

Olympia, WA @ The Grand Holiday Ballroom

Fall colors were essential for Paul & Amber's October wedding.
Bouquets of burgundy, tangerine, coral, cream and pink dahlias were
bunched together with green hydrangea and button mums.
Centerpieces sat on top of chocolate brown floral table runners and green diamonds added sparkle.
